Avoid LeasingToBuy by John Jackson
I bought John's online course, LeasingToBuy on May 31st. I thought that the course materials were very sloppily prepared, with little detail given on how to do transactions. The contracts were not editable online, and I couldn't access the webinar recordings. So, I waited until the course materials would arrive in the mail. I waited the full 10 business days with no package. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company and the SAME DAY I receive a notification that the package was being sent! Well, imagine that! I received said package the next day and promptly sent it back UNOPENED. I emailed John Jackson several times, documenting my steps, with no reply at all. Now, I find that I am REBILLED from John Jackson, without the course materials!! He even has a money back guarantee!! He doesn't have the common courtesy to respond, and, according to my credit card company, HAS TO RESPOND TO MY DISPUTE! He has not attempted to contact me at all. I am now reviewing options on getting that refund. AVOID JOHN JACKSON'S COURSE!!
Quote from @Lill Gravatt:I bought Carlton Sheets' course way back when and I made my first million as a result of him and Robert G Allen, "Nothing Down". That was all that was available at the time.
Melodee Lucido Would you mind posting what Gurus you recommend that investors use to establish and run their businesses?? In my experience, Gurus are able to help some do well but not all. Case in point a Guru Carleton Sheets who has now past away (MRIP) sold a real estate investing course on late nite TV back in the 90's and early 2000s. He was the brunt of jokes about bad real estate courses at all most all every real estate investing seminars back in the pre ZOOM days. However, Cameron Dunlap, who is a very successful multi millionaire real estate investor who made all of his money doing real estate, bought Sheets' course. Based on what Cameron said in his trainings, he started with Carleton's course and one house. Eventually Carleton became his mentor and friend and helped him lay the ground work for where he is today. If I had bought Carleton's course, would I be a millionaire to day. I wish! I probably would have never taken the shrink wrap off.
But because I didn't have someone available to fill in the gaps, I also made a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of money.
What I decided was needed to be successful and to keep what you've earned:
1. You have to actually DO the process, consistently and boldly
2. You have to have someone fill in the gaps for you.
You can do this on your own, don't get me wrong, but the time loss and the costly mistakes don't make that approach worth it, in my experience.
