Commercial Real Estate sale training course - Top Dogs University

Hi I'm new in Commercial RE sales. Has any of commercial veterans here heard about Top Dogs University's commercial real estate training course? I saw the list of course index and it seems decent - takes 4 weeks to bring a new agent up to speed - costs almost $1000 though.

Johnnie you don't need that.

If you have been working at close to one year and have one deal closed then the firm you are working with or your trainer is not right for you.

If you are shadowing someone who does volume you should be further along then you are now.

Yes I have heard of top dogs training.I think you would benefit way more finding the right top broker locally to shadow and learn from.

    I've been curious about this program as well. Everytime I google something about commercial real estate training, topdogs come up.

    Did I read that right, bring a brand new agent up to "speed" in commercial real estate in 4 weeks???? LOL

    See if you can find a real commercial brokerage as Joel suggested.

    If you want classroom study, see what you can find at a local college or university on the subject and stay away from gurus.

    And, guess that also means what you call "commercial" a 6 plex or a shopping mall, maybe an industrial complex on 20 acres? It takes years to "get up to speed" not weeks in most aspects. You really need local knowledge as well and frankly, above all, connections to move bigger deals

    Another thread was talking about books and one mentioned was Ray Alcorn's Guide to Commercial Real Estate and said it cost about $400 but was well worth the money. I have not read this particular book, but I have seen his work for Mobile Home Parks. This would be much cheaper than paying $1000 for a course that may teach you something and then again, it might not.

    I took the top dogs training it was outstanding.  I committed to it with two other accountability partners and hired a coach to make sure we stuck with it.  It will give you a good basis of what to do every day, how to develop your pillars of marketing and prospect.  It will push you but you will see a lot of activity right away.  All the lessons are like diets, we all know we should be on one and know how to diet but neglect to do it even though we know it is the right thing to do.  Since I took the training about ten years ago I have loaned my dvds out and never got them back, I was just looking for a new set to brush back up when I saw your question on a google search.
