Anybody invested in Dubai?

I am an investor in Houston and I was trying to buy 7 condos in Dubai at the Trident Grand Palace, but the agents that I was working with were not very responsive. They did not know where I was coming from, they spoke english very well. Just wondering if anyone has looked in to buying in that area, maybe I could jump on board with them if the numbers worked our right?
