From Dublin Ireland, new to bigger pockets

Hi all,

I'm from Dublin, Ireland and new to BP. I currently am residing in Dubai but looking to buy back in Dublin as I know the market quite well. Biggest issue I am currently facing is regarding bank finance, the banks want at least 70% LTV. High levels of tax are a constant with property in Ireland but that goes without saying.

If anyone has had similar experiences or would like to share info i would love to hear from you.

hello Ahmed.

Im also an expat living in Dubai, altho im originally from Norway. I have been faced with similar issues as the ones you are presenting here.

When you live in Dubai, you will be far away from everything, and you will most likely need property management. If this is the case then perhaps its wise to find the best cashflow market out there instead of the market you know the best. This way you can handle more expenses while being far away.

I personally chose to invest in Indianapolis, USA, but there are several other good options in North America, Europe and Asia too.

Once you are clear on what your purpose for investing is and what the optimal strategy will be, you might find that there are many areas that have potential for you.
