Investing Advice for San Antonio

Hello BP nation! After a year of research and educating myself through BP and other sources I am ready to invest in my initial rental property. Specifically, I am looking for a multifamily duplex or triplex. I spent many years in Texas through the military and am a resident there. I am currently deployed overseas and consequently will be out of state investing for the time being. I would love to get some advice from the BP community as to trusted real estate agents in the area well versed in the type of investment property I am searching for.

Additionally, I would appreciate some professional views about the rental market in the San Antonio and the surrounding areas and any advice on what areas you recommend to buy the property in. Lastly, I hope to start to building my network with all you great people here! Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing everyone’s insights!

If you are looking for multi-families you could always look in the Rio Grande Valley.  About 3.5 hours south of San Antonio near the border, the RGV, has newer multi-family opportunities that are scarce San Antonio.  Check out McAllen and Edinburg! Not so much in SA or surrounding but maybe it will fit your criteria.
