Looking to connect with multi-family realtors in Memphis

Hi BP,

I'm brand new to this forum, but very excited to start my real estate investing journey. I've spent the last few months absorbing as much info as possible on investing in multi-family homes. While I live in San Diego, my cousin lives in Memphis, and we've created an LLC to start searching for our first deal.

We're currently searching through deals through MLS listings (via a family friend) but would love to connect with other realtors who know the multi-family market in Memphis. Any referrals are greatly appreciated!

@Joseph Miller My team is actively creating opportunities for investors like you. The key is to find a great team! Ideally you would find a company that has everything under one roof. Acquisitions team, renovation crews (fully licensed and insured), Property Management, and a Real Estate Investment Brokerage in case you ever decide to sell.
By teaming up with a solid firm you can mitigate your risk and have some "boots on the ground" that have your best interest in mind.

Welcome to BP! I would suggest listening to the podcasts on BP. You will gain so much useful information and have so many of your early questions answered for you through those podcasts!
In my experience, when I see an investor fail, its because they didn't source their property well. Properties in Memphis can look good on paper but fail to tell the whole story. Find a trustworthy source, know your zip codes well that you are buying in and make sure you have an agent that can offer you more than one option. Memphis is full of investing options. Just make sure it works for you!
