Philadelphia House Hack
Hi Philly investors!
I graduate from school at the end of this year and am looking to house hack right after. I'm in the process of narrowing down my markets, and I am seriously considering Philly. My main reason is because I love living in big cities (I go to school in NYC), and Philly seems like a city where I would be able to live close to the city center for a reasonable price.
With that being said, living as close to the city center is one of my top priorities. Some other criteria I have are the property has to be under $650k (or around there), C+ neighborhood or better, and I'm looking for small multifamily (although if the numbers work with SFR or other types I would definitely consider it!). Is this reasonable criteria?
Does anybody have some neighborhood suggestions that may fit what I am looking for? I would love to connect with any investors or agents who have dealt with house hacking or know the area well. Thanks!

With that budget you should be able to find a small MFH most places in the city. Since you are living there Id spend a few days in Philly and get a taste of 'center city', verse other surrounding neighborhoods. Then setup your criteria, do you want to walk out your front door to cc? Is a X minute walk an option? X minute train/bus/Lyft? Then start lurking the MLS in those areas like Steve mentioned.
