Canton and Akron Ohio

Hi all!! First time investor and just purchased my first multi family in Canton. I still cant grasp the costs of homes over here, as I reside in Southern California. Finding an investment property over to rent out has such a higher barrier of entry, its mind blowing lol. With that, if anyone is experienced in Canton or can give me some advice on my next purchase, that would be awesome. My current property is located near Vassar park and its doing well but I do not know where to begin for my next property. Thank you in advance!

P.S. If anyone has recommendations on some great property managers, that would be awesome as well.

Hey Ralph, welcome to stark county! I’ve been investing here for a while. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to help. I self manage everything so I can’t help you there sorry.

In general the best neighborhoods are Jackson twp being the best followed by north canton and plain twp (glen oak schools.) I tend to lean more into the canton south and southern stark county rural schools, but I avoid inner city as much as I can. My best advice is be aware if the difference a few blocks makes. 12th and Fulton may be one of the worst areas of canton but 6 blocks north is an enormous improvement. You can dm for more info anytime.
