Columbus Ohio investing

Daniel Molina
Posted

Hello all, I'm looking at Columbus, Ohio as a potential investing area. Are there any investors, PM, or realtors who can tell me more about the University district and surrounding areas around OSU? It appears that rent is around $2800-3000 for some of the 4bed+ houses. Are the houses in this area being rented by families or is it attracting the student population from OSU? It seems like a great cashflow opportunity so I am looking to find insight.

Hey Daniel,

I'm a Columbus native and OSU grad. Anywhere around OSU is a strong place to invest. North of Lane Avenue for 5-6 blocks is mostly university students. Students generally go as far east as 4th Street. Once you go further east, the neighborhoods can be spotty. If you're looking on the south end of campus, you're sandwiched right between the Medical Center and the Short North, so that's a fantastic location if you can find a deal. @Remington Lyman is an agent in the area and can help you
