AIRBNB Downtown St Louis

Posted

Does anyone do any airbnb’s downtown St. louis near the stadium arch etc?  I’m wanting to learn more about occupancy and seasonality to see whether I should be renting or doing an airbnb in my property.  Thanks!

Hi @Steve Schleiffarth! We own 5 properties that we use as short-term rentals in St. Louis city and manage several others. We've been doing this for 2 years, and occupancy and seasonality have not been an issue for us. We've been able to at least 50% more renting these properties as STRs compared to what we would make using them as long-term rentals. We have proprietary software that uses algorithms that take into account seasonality and local events to adjust prices so that even in January, we have pretty decent occupancy. You'd be surprised how many people are traveling to or through St. Louis year-round. One thing to be cognizant of that some condo buildings downtown have HOA laws banning STRs. I'm happy to talk more about this with you if this is something you're interested in pursuing.
