Recommended Property Management company in Kansas City?

Hi Ken,

I closed on a Turnkey with Bridge in early January 2020. After some research I decided I would stay with the original recommendation of Voepel. It has been just under 6 months, but thus far I have had no issues. They have been quick to respond to any questions, and I have had the rent sent to my account on time every month. I actually spoke to Brent Voepel a few days ago and had a very positive conversation with him. So far, so good. On a side note, I did this all from the other side of the world in Australia. Both Bridge and Voepel were able to accommodate from this great distance very well. Hope this helps a bit.

    Hi Ken, a couple of property management companies recommended to me are Rowan PM and One Stop PM. 

    Also, is this your first property? If not, did you start out managing your own properties first? Or have you only used property management? Thanks!

    What is the best way to reach Voepel for potential property management deal?  I called their website number yesterday, no answer, submitted a web inquiry, yet to get a response.

    Hi Ken,

    Have you had any luck? Did you try 816-405-4845? I typically get an answer, occasionally it does ring out. I know they are pretty busy right now. Hope it all works out for you!

    Hi @Zeke Tessmer , I guess you meant to ask me. I did talk with Voepel in the end. The owner is very nice and enthusiastic. I did see some owner complaints in google review for it, although some are many years ago. I terminated HomeRiver Group ( really cannot bear them any further) and decided to self-manage for now. I still have to deal with a few left over mess caused by HomeRiver, such as uncollected utility bills, one vacant unit to lease, etc. In this business, so hard to find a good PM. my success ratio has not been high unfortunately so I am getting more and more cautious and concerned to hire one, it could have been such a good win-win situation.

    Hi Warren,

    I apologize for the name mix up! Hopefully self management is working out ok. That is not really an option for me because I am in Australia. I keep a close eye on every PM I have in the US and AU...sometimes they do well, and other times I wonder why I pay them! If you happen to come across and amazing PM let me know!
