@Karla Talancon Joe's KC is a staple, formerly called Oklahoma Joe's, Q39 is a newer kind of hipster BBQ place that is really good with a good craft beer selection, Strouds is another KC staple, they have some great home style food. As far as A and B area's, there are a lot of pockets north of the river, in general Overland Park, Leawood, Les Summit, Parkville, and N Kansas City. I hope this helps.
