    I own 19 houses that are paid for and cash flowing that I have acquired mostly through tax sales.

    Some are owned by my self directed ROTH IRA.

    So yes absolutely!

    @John Underwood

    I have been trying to learn more about tax deed sales. What are the potential risks in buying a property this way? Is there a risk of other parties having potential ownership of the asset (mortgages, prior liens)? Is the title clouded for future sales?

    Thank you!

    Yes there are risks.

    A prevois owner or stake holder could come back and say they were not properly notified. The county could make errors that could be overturned etc.
