Starting Tax Liens investments in NY. Any advice/success stories?

I'm new to investments and starting with Tax Liens in New York, any advises, success stories? How, where, what I need to know?

I invest in tax liens in Maryland. All of them are online. I find it easier to purchase this way. A friend of mine used to travel to the Poconos to purchase tax liens and to Florida to purchase tax deeds. However, I work a full time job and found the online bids were easier for me.
