requesting a municipal lien search and permit search

Need help with the most effective and financially savvy method to request a municipal lien search and permit search.

Question:

When buying a single family home in cash, are there any hidden liens or legal issues  i need to be aware of. Where can i search for these liens and holds on the property.

Would purchasing a title insurance for a house bought in cash protect me from unknown leans and legal issues?

Regards,

Al Young

You have a title search done regardless of all cash.

Have the search done PRIOR to closing.
