Determining the Performance of a First Lien as part of diligence for 2nd Lien
Hello all,
As I understand it, one of the better ways to limit the risk of getting wiped out as a 2nd, is to make sure that the 1st is current. At the pre-offer stage, which is as far as I'm at now, how can I determine with accuracy the status and amount of the 1st note?
I know some websites display these, but I've heard they are often wrong, or guesses, and don't include any back interest on the 1st notes.
Apparently, finding this information is not hard, but I have not idea where to look.
Thanks
