Where to buy Lumber? - Baltimore (Review)
Here is my review and I don't work for any of these stores.
I needed to order lumber and my contractor suggested that I contact Crown Lumber or Home Depot for the materials. I wanted to try TW Perry. Here is a quick and rough price breakdown.
My order:
2x4x10 = 250 pieces
2x6x16 pressure treated for deck = 26 pieces
Crown:
2x4x10 = 250 pieces ($5 plus change per piece)
2x6x16 pressure treated for deck #1 (Prime) = 26 pieces ($14 plus change per piece)
Free Shipping
TW:
2x4x10 = 250 pieces ($3 plus change per piece)
2x6x16 pressure treated for deck #1 (Prime) = 26 pieces ($15 plus change per piece)
Free Shipping
HD:
2x4x10 = 250 pieces ($4 plus change per piece)
2x6x16 pressure treated for deck #2 (Prime) = 26 pieces ($12 plus change per piece)
No Shipping
I went with TW Perry because the rep was super helpful! They knocked off money for opening a free account and I asked if they could reduce their 2x6x16 lumber to match Crown as it was originally $17 and they took it down to $15. Plus, I needed the shipping because I'm without a truck. Once again I don't work for any of these companies, I'm simply writing a review.
What has been your experience with purchasing Lumber and the cost savings?
