Replace flooring now or later?
I just took possession of 1385 sq ft 3 bed in San Antonio. Previous owners did a terrible job on some crappy flooring that was poorly installed throughout 80% of the house. The remaining areas have dated tile or carpeting inside closets. Since it's empty now and I have other rehab I am thinking about just tackling this now rather than later. New flooring should add to the overall value as well as the rental value once listed.
Anyone have a formula to calculate the cost to re-floor an entire house with the same rental grade durable flooring?

Laminate wood flooring can be purchased at any box store with price ranges from $1 pSF to $3pSF. Install should be around $2 pSF.
Flooring is not "ALWAYS" done after kitchen remodels, in fact, it is better to run flooring under the cabinets so you don't have to add quarter round to fill the gap later. The dust analogy is also not quite accurate for all line items. Flooring must be installed before baseboards and door casings, both of which are above floor. Finish items go in after flooring as well. Cover your flooring once installed to protect it. Then remove upon completion, also helps get some of the dust and debris that end up on the floor during the process.
