Newbie Investor Looking To Do First Flip

Haven Ousley
Posted

Newbie investor looking to do his first flip this year. Any pointers or advice from those who have experience with flips would be very welcomed. My biggest concern at the moment is estimating the rehab costs.

Hi Haven. Have you had a chance to read the BP books on flipping? 'The book on flipping houses' by J Scott and 'The book on estimating rehab costs' by J Scott are great places to start. I would also recommend some of the books on raising capital. If you have yet to read a book on real estate or find that the idea isn't really for you, then I recommend you start with 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' and 'The richest man in Babylon' since they are both written as novels but can help change your mindset.

Good luck.
