Replacing old carpet with Vinyl

Jeff Regist
Posted

Hi everyone.

I'd like to get some thoughts on a project I'm looking to start next week to replace the flooring w/ LVP.

I've got a quote for roughly 6k of 1152sqft-- 3.4k for the LVP and 2.3k for labor and 290 for prep and molding. My

goal is to run this throughout the whole floor. I thought I'd ask here before I go through with it incase there's some additional

due diligence I'm not doing. The specific floor we're looking to install is called Panzu(cancun color). It's about 4.7mm thick with a 12mil wear layer. Interestingly, I can't find where to buy this.

I'm in Westchester, NY btw!

Would highly appreciate some thoughts.

@Jeff Regist, I put waterproof LVP throughout the whole house and do self-leveling where needed.

Carpet is cheaper as a purchase price, but I found that I need to replace it quite often which made it more expensive on the long run.
