Remote Eviction Sacramento CA

Sol Romand
Posted

I recently inherited a house in Sacramento while living in NY. The plan was to sell it as a fixer upper. However I found out that there are squatters occupying the property . After contacting them by phone to leave, I served them a 30 day notice and plan on hiring a attorney if they still refuse. My question now is, what happens if they leave without notice. How can I keep tabs on the property in the meantime without having to fly cross country or hire a management company. I hope this is a short term problem and I can sell quickly and move my assets closer.

In the past, I have also used internet based security cameras and alarm system connected (along with signage) to a wifi hotspot (jetpack etc.) to do this after changing locks and better securing doors and windows. Yes, if they want to they can disable/remove it but, by separating them all, they will at least audibly deter them while recording them to cloud storage while they are doing it.
