Pulling a Permit mid project
I am adding a bathroom and laundry room back to back and made the mistake of being influenced into not pulling a permit. I have only framed the walls, run pex and waste water piping(pier and beam) and now having cold feet. This same influence is saying that I would have to restart(cut out piping completely) if I pull a permit now. All my research leads me to believe I would only have to have it inspected not tore out unless its the work was performed incorrectly. Is there any harm to pulling a permit mid project other than having to admit that you started without the permit?

If everything is still exposed and you haven’t covered anything up then just apply for the permit. Once the permit is issued schedule an inspection. If things are covered up you will need to remove the drywall so the inspector can properly inspect the work. You may need licensed contractor as well depending on the city or county your in.
