Demo Storage Shed in the Back

We are looking at a house we might be putting an offer in on. The problem is there is a storage shed in the back that will definitely need to destroyed. What would you budget to demo a standard storage shed + haul off the trash? We are in DFW if that helps anyone.

Is any of the wood or building material salvageable?

If the shed is not completely rotted out, you should be able to get it taken down and hauled away for free by posting it on Craigslist. Just take some pictures of the shed and post it on the “Free Stuff” section of your local Craigslist page. If any of the material is salvageable, you will be bombarded with calls and emails from people willing to take down and haul away the shed for free.

Here is a link to the “Free Stuff” page for Dallas: Craigslist "Free Stuff"

I have been able to get all kinds of things demolished and hauled away for free by using Craigslist, including:

- Above ground pools
- Decks
- Sheds
- Fences
- Bricks
- Concrete
- Cinder Blocks
- Bushes
- Trees
- Garages full of random junk

People will take pretty much anything if it is free.
