Solar panels for rental property

Hello,

I have been going back and forth regarding installing solar panels for a rental property. What are some of the considerations you would make in favor of or against having solar panels for SF rental unit?

Thank you in advance.

@Jeff Cliff if you weren't paying the electric bill before or have a way to charge for electricity generated by the the panels directly it isn't worth it.  If you try to include it in your rent and charge higher rent your problem is that people searching for rentals don't read the description that says your electric bill will be low if the price is too high to start with, they just don't they move on to the next property. So most of the time it isn't going to be worth it, I wish it was because the return on cash invested would actually be pretty decent.  Until there is a company that can do effective billing I won't be doing it.
