Dirty Sewage Deal Gone Bad
I recently purchased a home in a small town within it's city limits. There is sewage and water lines provided by the county just a block over. My plan was to fill in the old septic system and connect to the county lines. However, the county does not go down my road and does not plan to go down my road. My property includes 1.08 acres of land with a water well on one corner of the property and the neighbors water well on the other corner of the property. No aerated septic company will touch it because of the water wells in place. They all want me to pay $14,000 to put in a drip line system. I am so frustrated that the city isn't concerned at all about the septic system being outdated and don't want to find myself pushing the city so much that they push me to pay the $14,000 for the new line. Any one else experience something similar.
