Smoke Alarm Batteries
Authorities always encourage everyone to change the smoke detector batteries at the beginning of the new year. I was wondering what others do about this. Do you just hope the tenant does it or do you provide it as part of the rent? I watched the news this am and there where three tragic stories in a row of house, trailer and apartment fires with horrible casualties. I know from experience in a volunteer work that i do that many if not most apartments do not keep them updated because i hear the chirp that the tenants seem oblivious to. Thoughts?
