I'm currently looking to invest in properties in the Northwest Indiana area that I can purchase for good prices, rehab or make upgrades to and sale. I would also consider renting some of the properties.
I rehabbed my first residential property for my family to live in. We lived in the home for 14 years. I recently moved my family to our dream home. I've made some amazing upgrades to our new home and I am currently making upgrades to our old home preparing it for rent. I have 2 prospective tenants already. I've also rehabbed and remodeled residential homes for others.
I own 2 commercial properties that i did complete inside demolition to and rebuilt everything from top to bottom excluding the 4 exterior brick walls. My wife and I use these properties for our personal businesses.
I'm not a licensed contractor but I do have my Residential and International Code books. I havent taken my contractors test as of yet but I have good experience in building and rehabbing.
I'm looking for some direction on investing and flipping. I want to know if I should attend some of the real estate investment courses that are advertised on television or should I just purchase some of the best books on the market to educate myself?
