How much does an average renovation cost?

When you flip a house, how much do you usually spend on painting cabinets, fixing the kitchen and bathroom, making the garden look better, etc? More or less?

Hard question to answer as there are so many factors. I haven't read it, but Biggerpockets published a book by J Scott called "The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs" that can probably help you.
