Foundation & Cast Iron Pipes here in DFW

I am thinking about purchasing a property for myself here in DFW (fort worth). The problem is the house has cast iron pipes. The contractor suggested there will be high probability once he levels the foundation that the pipes will begin to leak now, or at some point down the road.

Would you guys recommending spending more money to have the entire cast iron pipe system gutted & replaced with PVC, or stick with the cast iron, it will be a rental property.

Also how does copper piping typically fair here in DFW, is it prone to leaking after foundation repair like old cast iron pipes?
