House hacking in Chicago

Hey guys!

I’m looking to buy a 2-3 flat in Chicago and was wondering if anyone has had any experience buying a multi unit, living in one bedroom and renting out the other bedrooms in the units individually and not as a whole.

There’s a few neighborhoods I'm looking in: Brighton park, McKinley park, Avondale, Belmont Cragin.

Any feedback would be awesome.

P.s. let’s connect!

House hacking is awesome strategy. I do it for a 4 unit in rogers park. Bridgeport and Mckinley are great as cheaper and if you rent bedroom its strong demand with college students. Feel free to reach out if any specific questions. Also Peter is great resource to talk to.
