New investor in Boise
Hi all,
New investor here, love reading the wealth of knowledge on the forums.
Hoping to get a sense check or input from Boise locals:
Significant other and I are moving to Boise for 1 year (work rotation). Interested in purchasing a single family house, living in it for a year, then renting once we leave. Ideally looking for something around $400k, 3-4 bed, 2 bath, yard, above average school districts, within 20 minutes from downtown. From looking at rental listings, it seems like well cared for houses with the above stats rent for ~$2k - 2.5k.
Anyone have thoughts on the feasibility of those ranges? If yes, thoughts on neighborhoods to look at?
Any local insights are much appreciated, thank you!

Hey Michael, good luck in your move. I just relocated to Boise as well.
I thought I’d throw in a side note and a vote of confidence for @Aaron Williams being a killer agent and definitely the guy you want on your team when it comes to Boise real estate. He just helped me close on a place near downtown in a super competitive market! Highly recommend.
