Abandoned Home in My Subdivision
Hi All,
I'm a total newbie, but have been reading the forums and listening to podcasts for several months now. I don't have enough knowledge, capital, or courage to dive all in yet, but I have a proposal for the pros out there.
There is a home in my subdivision that has been abandoned for a couple of years now. It's an eyesore and the neighbors have been complaining about it on the Nextdoor App. I think the ARV for it could easily be around $170k but I have no idea how to even begin to estimate the necessary repairs. Based on the address of the property, I was able to get the current address and phone number of the owner (although I'm not sure if either are accurate). Furthermore, I don't know if the owner would be willing to sell the property. If I were to offer her even $50k in cash, I would think she takes it, but that's just my opinion. Bottom line, I think the property has major potential either as a fix/flip or even buy/hold. The home is in a decent area of Cobb with good schools.
So, here is what I propose. I can lead you to the property. All I ask in return is that you let me watch you rest of the way so I get to experience a deal with a seasoned pro, which should give me some confidence to go on my own next time around.
PM if you're interested and we can discuss further.
