Checking Address registration?

This is my 1st post in the forum, so this might be a dumb question. I recently bought an old multi-unit property in southwest denver that needs a LOT of work. I need to request new service from Xcel Energy to pull dedicated power to a carriage house that I plan to live in while I rent out the main house. Xcel requires a registered address to install new electrical service to a property.
...How do I check to see if my carriage house has an official address?

i should also clarify this is my 1st purchase, so I'm very new at this and a little intimidated! Trying to buy in Denver right now is like fighting in a gladiator arena

Typically it is the post office that “assigns a new address”, they may have some verification requirements.

Thanks Kayla!  I actually have already submitted a work request with Xcel, that's not really my confusion. I'm trying to figure out how many residences I have "registered" or confirmed with... the city? I don't know, I'm confused. The physical property has 3 separated units. But I don't know how many of those are officially recognized.

Every time I speak with some utility regarding service, they want a "verified" address that work is being completed on. Example: when I ordered internet service from CenturyLink for the carriage house (instead of the main house), the service technician asked if the separate house had a separate address. He said CenturyLink bases addresses off the USPS to determine billing, etc.  There was a derelict extra mailbox laying on the ground that had a "b" on it so I just gave them the address with the "b" tacked onto it and that seemed to work.

Now Xcel needs a new address for "new service" (instead of the main house that already has service), and I don't want to keep "BS-ing" my way through things, I'd rather have concrete answers before I finish renovating and then try to get renters in here.

Is the US Postal Service in charge of that?  I can't seem to find answers on this unique problem anywhere (i even asked my postman today and he didn't even know). I think I'm just going to physically go to the local Post Office next week and see if anyone can help me.
