Hi guys, I'm a relatively new member from the Sacramento area. I'm a full time engineer by profession and first dipped into real estate when I purchased a duplex about 2 years ago. By some great luck&timing my first property is performing very well and I developed a great interest for real estate investing ever since. 

I'm beginning with wholesaling and would love to meet other people in the area involved in wholesaling, lending,flipping, law practicing, etc... The problem I'm having here is that the only official REI group I'm aware of is not exactly what I'm looking for. They charge a monthly fee along with other fees for seminars and other events.. Spending my money on meetups is not the best way to start in my opinion. I'd like to start a regular free meetup here for anyone interested and ASAP.

Welcome to BP @Edit B. check out the Roseville Meetup, one of the few good free ones in the area. Don't let yourself be turned away by a small fee for most legitimate REIA meet ups though, the knowledge and connections you can gain from these will cover the costs 10 fold. The organizers of these events usually have costs for renting the space, flying out speakers, etc. they aren't just pocketing your money.

Wholesaling is tough right now in this market, you need to be able to separate yourself from the endless competition out there.  I'm always interested in meeting up with local investors, please keep me updated on anything that may materialize. Best of luck! Hopefully I'll see you around
