Bringing Value to A Seasoned Investor

Hi,

My name is Wes Short, I'm from South Bend Indiana, and I was wondering what seasoned investors like to see when a newbie asks them for help and what are seasoned investors favorite ways that a newbie can bring value to a mentor. I understand that learning from a veteran in real estate can jumpstart my career and I want to be able to bring as much value to that veteran as possible so I am worth their time. I have some experience in driving for dollars and doing manual labor at rental properties, are these things mentors look for and what else could I provide a veteran investor?

Forget about it. Focus on networking. The more people you know the better. A seasoned investor is likely to give you all the free advise you want, which you can get here as well, and they are likely to partner on a deal with you if it's good. They don't need your help, labor, leads, or anything.. they've already built their business and it's working. Just focusing on networking will solve all the things you want, because it puts you in touch with investors, agents, deals, and money.

All of them are more than happy to show off their successes, flips, current project, etc. Investors will buy you dinner, and give you a grand tour of some slummed out house being rehabbed by them if you just ask, and let them do the talking.
