Wholesalers in Los Angeles?

Question

I'm sure that many are looking for the same, but thought I'd toss it out there. I'm looking to buy a house hack in LA and I'd love to get on a list with a wholesaler for more deal options. Tough market right now.

Head over to the So Cal REI groups on Facebook, there are many wholesalers there that you can connect with. In my experience the REI Facebook groups are better for finding wholesalers; you may be able to search for similar old posts and find many wholesaler replies.

Thanks @Nick Hedberg I didn't know that about the owner occupied thing and hard money. Might have to look at other strategies for now.

@Jacob Repreza - Is correct. Most require hard money or cash. With hard money you can't legally owner occupy the property. Also many require you to waive all contingencies after a showing so doing inspections might be tough.

I would still reach out and look at the properties. Just be aware of what many require.

@Nicole Holcomb is right about the facebook groups. Just type in los angeles and wholesale and you should find a few.

With that being said, do keep in mind that vast majority of wholesale deals need to be done with anything else besides a conventional loan due to speed. Hard/ private/ cash. I have people reach out to us in order to get "a good deal" on a home but you have to be ready to move quickly and more often than not, do some repairs as well. There's always positives and negatives.
