The Law side of things!

Thanks to some of you guys I have gained the confidence to move on and do a little networking and marketing to work on finding some owner financing possibilities. I am going to try and find a lawyer to help with the contracts to make sure that when the title is in our name the mortgage owner cannot take it away unless the situation is that we haven't completed our piece of the deal. Ive never dealt with lawyers! so, I am curious where to find one, how to know if he is doing his job and how to know if he is charging me to much... I know it will be expensive.

I appreciate any and all comments!

@Jonathan Robinson - Smart move! If you're not a member already you need to join your local REIA. There's a good one in your area...Metrolina REIA. The best way to find a good real estate attorney is to get referrals from local real estate investors.
