RE License - Selecting a broker

Hi everyone: I have been interested in RE forever but as with most, life happens and other things take priority. I'm now at a point where I can dedicate more time to my own pursuits and I have started off with taking the required VA RE licensing training and have recently passed the exam.

I am seeking advice from the community as to selecting a broker to work with here in the Leesburg / Northern Virginia area. I plan on keeping my corporate job and invest on the side so the main reason for licensure was for access to the MLS and being able to investigate listed properties on my own and of course, market and sell my own properties. I am wondering if there are brokers that will entertain holding my license knowing that these are my goals and not necessarily (at this time) being a full fledge RE agent.

Appreciate any advice and help.
