Newbie investor in RI

Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been working and living in Providence for the past 4-5 years and I also went to school in Providence many years ago. I've recently taken a strong interest in investing in rental properties, primarily to generate some passive income and diversify my investments. I've been immersing myself in the topic by reading as much as I can in books and online as well as by listening to BP podcasts. I also plan on attending the RI real estate investor's group meeting in a few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to meet some of you then.

My plan is to learn as much as I can and to develop relationships with those in the industry. My goal for 2020 is to buy my first rental property. If you have any other suggestions for me as I start out on this journey, I would greatly appreciate it.

Happy New Year!
