Where is the best beach rental location?
I have been to many places up and down the Jersey shore. Lots of pluses and few minuses at many of the locations.
When searching for a possible place to purchase and rent all season (or all year minus a 1 week summer vacation- if that's allowed), where do the local people from jersey suggest is the best place to invest? I'm considering forming an LLC with a few other investors and we want a beach rental (we all live in PA). To help us narrow our search, can anyone suggest a great jersey market or a location where it's not too difficult to rent a beach house for a good price?
Thanks

I've spent my entire life every summer going down to the jersey shore. Still live in south jersey. I'm most familiar with seaside heights and south. Renters will not be an issue during the season in any town walking distance to the beach but here's my opinion on a few areas. Stay away from seaside. And I love this place. As a kid that's where I grew up going. Wide range in class of renters. ie jersey shore.....not too far off. Not worth the headaches. Wildwood would be the same. Although certain areas are getting better. Long Beach Island and Ocean City are by far the best. And I know I'm leaving out many more great towns but too many to list. Anywhere you go on LBI is close to the beach. A lot of great restaurants on and off the island. Quaint little shops and fantasy island is fun for the kids. Ocean City is also fantastic. Dry town so it's very family oriented. The class of renters you want. Once a good reputation is made with a family they'll rent your place for years if not generations. Great beaches and the best part--The boardwalk. Doesn't get much better. Off season wedding rentals too could generate extra income. If I was purchasing a rental I'd choose either of the two favoring ocean city slightly more. Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy the shore this season!!!!
