Starting Out in Multifamily Duplex
Hello Everyone, I am new to real estate and I'm really looking forward to getting started in house-hacking a duplex while I'm still in college. I'm wondering what are some of the best ways you got started and got active looking for deals? I am looking to get started in southwest Michigan so the market is manageable.

Hey @William Patsalis! Awesome plan! Some good ways to start looking in your market would be checking out Zillow, Realtor.com, etc. to get familiar with the sales prices and rental prices in your area. A great next step would be to find a Realtor in your area (if they're investor friendly or familiar with househacking, bonus points) and they can get you set up with MLS searches and info. They can also hopefully help you with numbers and comparables if you need, and put you in touch with a good lender so you can get prequalified. Best of luck!
