We are closing our first multifamily unit in Baltimore! A 8 unit right next to University of Maryland medical school. Any one has recommendations on contract lawyers, contractors and title?

Screen your contractors very well. Not only ask for their references but physically go see their work start to finish. Make sure they are licensed, insured and bonded. Do a background check on them. If they don't have any work thats are red flag. If they refuse to let you come to their job site thats a red flag. If their prices are extremely low thats a red flag. Don't be afraid to fire them if they are doing a lousy job, taking too long, not showing up to work, or conducting themselves in an unprofessional manner.
