Time to introduce myself

Good afternoon !

Just wanted to introduce myself to the group and give a little bio of who I am and where I am at currently.

I have not yet invested in a property apart from my primary home.

I’m currently in the learning phase with the real estate world although i do have some knowledge within the purchase/closing world of mortgages since I do loan closings as my side gig from my regular 9-5 job.

I work in the travel and lifestyle industry in the Greater New York Area although I reside in the Northern New Jersey suburbs.

I’m currently working on becoming debt free and having a runway where both me and my wife feel comfortable (t - 4 months) until that is overwith.

If I can be of value to anyone on the forum please feel free to reach out in any of the areas mentioned above.

Lastly I want to keep learning and network as much as possible and getting to help as many people

As possible where I can.

Welcome, Luis! I am also newer to real estate investing and climbing over that learning curve. If you haven't already, I would really recommend listening to the BiggerPockets podcast. It's very informative and inspiring at the same time. I feel like I'm getting a college degree almost just by listening to it. 

Have you and your wife thought much about how you'd like to get started in real estate investing (multi-family units, single-family properties, flipping, wholesaling, etc)?
