The 2BR Starter Home Comeback

I see a future market vitalization that went by the wayside decades ago. The 2 bedroom starter home.

I spend most of my time talking about real estate which almost always ends up going in one direction when with my peers... A long list of why they cant own a house followed by a reason I can. Each person has their own unique reason. But collectively it seems as if most would love to own. Some of the major things that I see making individuals stay away from home ownership are the severe lack of starter homes. Everything is large people have been turning the 2 bedroom homes of the early 20th century into 3 and 4 bedroom family houses. Additionally people don't want the fixer uppers that my parents consider starter homes from the early 90's. They want a nice house that doesn't need much. They don't want surprises, they don't want to throw 4 paychecks at the boiler. They don't want to have to have roommates. There is a whole gigantic generation of new young adults who don't want to get married at 20 and don't want to waste every weekend on home projects and they don't need a thousand rooms.

I see a lot of potential for the 2 bedroom starter house to make a comeback.
