So I was at Menards yesterday shopping for some vinyl tiles. I have made one trip per day to Menards the last 10 days, so the flooring guy recognized me. So I asked the flooring guy about the price on tiles I liked. He said they would be $320 and I asked him were there any specials that Menards had? And the tone of his voice changed, he said he would be willing to work with me. First, I didn't understand what he was saying. I thought he was going to give me couple of pieces from remnants sale and I thought great, I just need something decent for my rentals, so that should work fine.

Then he started to explain what he had in mind, he said he can write me a fake ticket for a lot lower price and I can just pay him a few bucks to get the "discount". He brought me an invoice for $60 for $320 of materials. I couldn't believe it. I believe in Karma strongly, so I didn't buy it, I just told him that I didn't like the style and was going to pick something different.

But I couldn't believe that something like this was going on at a big store like Menards. Have you guys been in any situation like this? How did you guys handle it?
