At what age did you get into Real Estate Investing, and why?

If you could go back in time what would you have done different?

Lets hear them people!

I am a physician and had the fortune/misfortune of starting my practice in 1982 at the start of the biggest bull run in stock market history so real estate wasn't on my radar till the dotcom meltdown of 2000-2002. I saw many docs have to put off retirement then and again in 2008 because they were entirely dependent on the market for their retirement. I wanted to avoid that fate so I looked for alternatives and was helped by a gift of Rich Dad for X-Mas in 2003. I then took money out of the market in 2005 & 2006 and started buying mulifamily at age 54. We now have 3 apartments, a 4th under contract and 2 more for an aparmtent syndicating business I started for other docs that need the same help to diversify. I feel there is a hugh unmet need for this product.
