I could not find the post about 'you know you are a real estate investor when you...' so I am posting here.

here are some more I noticed today:

...if you have a thousand keys and you have no idea which house they belong to.

...you buy every directional sign in stock at home depot, then go to another home depot and buy their stock.

...you are proud of your lockbox collection.

... take a different way home every day just so you can scope out the homes for sale.

... hear about a retired couple who own their home free and clear and get genuinely aroused.

... your best friend is crying in your arms about getting a divorce or losing a loved one and you begin asking, "So, what's your plans for the house?" (Yeah, I know, this one is REALLY bad!!!)

... are on a first name basis with the paint guy at Home Depot/Lowe's.

... are approached by a friendly real estate agent who says, "I hear you're looking for a house. Have you been pre-approved by a lender" and you find yourself with this overwhelming desire to punch them.

... find those late-night REI infomercials more entertaining than Seinfeld re-runs.

... lie to your spouse about having an affair because you don't want them to find out you've been out secretly viewing REO's.
