Updated over 15 years ago,
And for my 1000th post
I would like to take this moment and act as though I have been given an award( maybe I actually do once I get the 1000th post, I forget)
I wanted to take this time and genuinely thank some of the members here on BP and tell them what they mean to me.
first and foremost Mr. Joshua, you're a true inspiration for creating what I consider the flat out BEST investor forum board there is on this huge vehicle called the World Wide Web, I have learned ten fold because of you creating this site. You have actually inspired me to create future projects of my own via the internet and the future success of that will all be thanks to you.
Jon, you're firm but fair moderation of the forum is most certainly appreciated, I know that you're hard at work deleting and editing posts to help keep this forum spam free and content filled and its thankless work but you still manage to find time among your every day investing life to do so and you deserve recognition for that my friend. I'm also still jealous of your avatar pic.
Rich Weese your story from your beginnings are nothing less than inspirational! I've read the interview here on BP several times and watching your posts it's simply amazing that you've done so well for so long and you're still grounded. I can only hope that my continued success will bring me to the level at which you're able to play. Your responses to others I feel are great and helpful and it's great to see a real player in the game take time out of your obviously busy travels to help others.
MikeOH The only guy WHO CAN DO THIS AND GET AWAY WITH IT absolutely deserves recognition. I sincerely enjoy reading your blog posts and watching all of your updates as you add to your online diary of a real investor grinding day in and day out exposing real truths to this industry that so often gets spammed by "quick riches". Your no BS posts and responses may offend others but are of value to myself. Keep up the hard work and keep pressing on, I've enjoyed watching the MikeOH show
Will probably one of the most level headed and active investors I've met here on BP. Knows his stuff and isn't afraid to contribute. I've had many talks with Will and feel he has become a genuine friend regardless if we've never met. I look forward to vacationing in CA and spending time with him as an old friend for the first time. he always responds to me as a "brutha from another mutha" and it seems to fit as it should.Thank you Will for just being you!
Harrison The one guy who I've come to enjoy watching his silly tv shows and how he's just a "lets do it and not talk about it" kind of guy. I've always enjoyed your posts and blogs. You've made easy for us to feel like a big part of your life and I sincerely look forward to having you as a friend and colleague 10-20 and even 30 years from now! I love your upbeat attitude and entrepreneurial spirit that lives and breathes inside of you, it's contagious!
Mr_Investor you certainly have a great sense of humor and I always look for your posts as I'm sure they'll say something funny! You have a way of keeping things lite and easy going on the boards when you participate. It's hard sometimes to have so many strong people on the board and not get into a huge keyboard war, but you always seem to bring out the light and funny stuff in particular situations.
Dick Green you my friend are nice and more polite than the old lady greeters at wal-mart! It seems every time a new person joins the forum you're right on top of it welcoming them and making them feel welcomed. There should be a special Dick Green award for the most welcomes to BP.
I can certainly go on and on, if I didn't mention your name please don't be offended you're all the reason why no matter what I'm currently doing, as long as I'm in front of a computer BiggerPockets is always pulled up.
I reflected a little bit about my first 1000 posts and wondered if I have added value to anyone in their investing career or just been an added friend to anyone. I certainly will never call myself a guru but merely a practitioner and really do love Real Estate Investing. I always here those that can do and those that can't teach. I agree with that except regarding me, I really do enjoy helping others. I think to myself how many lives can I impact, how many lives can I help change as my life was changed. If I were to die tomorrow, how many people would go out of their way and travel the globe to attend my funeral. I ask these things all the time.
I feel like I've could have contributed more to BiggerPockets and now vow that I will increase my contributions to fellow and new investors. I've learned so much from this group that I feel it's only fair to give back as I have received. I look forward to not only another 1000 posts but many more to come. I look forward to developing and building more and more relationships here on BP and challenge you do to the same thing.
That's it for now, sorry for the long posts. Remember to vote up my posts(including this one)
I look forward to learning from all of you and contributing my part.
