Another Obama official “forgets” to pay his taxes

It seems that former Sen. Tom Daschle didn’t “remember†to pay $128,203 until after he was picked by Obama to lead the health care reform efforts. No wonder these guys aren’t interested in cutting taxes…they don’t pay them in the first place.

    It's on a new level when you don't pay $128,000 dollars in taxes. Republicans will no doubt jump on it even though they hate taxes! Not that it excuses Daschle or anyone else. Republican opposition in congress should be honest. You don't want universal healthcare so you don't want Tom Daschle being the top guy at the department of health. The tax issue just gives you a under cover reason to reject his appointment.

    I wonder how many Democrat citizen voters intended this kind of "Change" to be stamped to their party name. I smell a Reagan or a Jackson coming in 4 years.

    Confirmation may not be so easy after all. You can't exactly say that not paying $128,203 was a simple math error.

    I love Diane Feinstein talking about how smart and useful Daschle is and despite this "error" she is not ruling out confirmation.

    What is it with these people? Maybe we ought to examine their take on what they're doing with their own taxes.

    Daschle was an early supporter of Obama when he was a junior senator. He (Obama) owes him. Washington politics.

    At least the nomination for the post helped him "remember" to pay the back taxes, so it wasn't a total waste.

    You heard about the third nominee today with tax problems right? This is like watching a very slow train wreck...

    Isn't it Rahm's job to kind of prevent this? lol
