Can I get an office??

I'm about to get my real estate license finished soon and I was wondering if I'm allowed to get an office if I still split commissions with my broker. Meaning, if my brother and me wanted to start a real estate team, could we start one in a separate office in a completely different part of the city if I do all the things someone who works from their home office does?
